As many of us know, to force reboot iPhone 6s you need to press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo to hard reset or force reboot the iPhone.
Also On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, you need to press and hold both the Side and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo to hard reset or force reboot the iPhone.
But the latest iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus takes different three steps to reboot it into the recovery settings. if you’ve just got yourself an iPhone 8 or iPhone 8+ and the phone runs into problems such as frequently freezing or slow down and you need to Hard reset then, you need to know that the old method of a forced reboot iPhone is no more applied to this latest version of iPhones.
Apple has changed this method of the hard reset of an iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus. On iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and one of the Volume buttons now activates the Emergency SOS feature. This may be the reason for the change I guess. So in this post, we are going to show you how you can hard reset this new model of iPhone. Make sure you follow the below simple 3 steps carefully in order to Force Reboot or Hard Reset your iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
Step 1: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Then press and quickly release the Volume Down button.
Step 2: Finally, press and hold the Side button (previously called the Power/Sleep or Wake button) until you see the Apple logo.
Step 3: Wait for a couple of seconds until your iPhone boots up completely and displays the Lock screen.
That’s all you need to do to force reset your iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus. We believe this same method of hard reset or force reboot of iPhone 8 can also be applied on iPhone X as well.
