How to Access the NATIS Online Booking Portal – online.natis.gov.za

You must first obtain a learner’s license before applying for a driver’s license. Also, you must be at least 18 years old, and you must be at least 16 years old to apply for a motorbike license (with an engine capacity of up to 125 cc).

When applying for a driver’s license, you must fill out form DL1 and specify the sort of vehicle you want to drive. This form must be sent along with the following documents:

  • Your ID document,
  • Existing driver’s licenses
  • Four identical black and white photographs of yourself
  • Required fee
  • Your fingerprints will be taken
  • and you will be required to undergo an eye test.

After your application has been processed, the drivers license testing centre will provide you with a date and time for your driving test. On the day of the test, you will be tested according to the K53 testing standard.

You will be tested to ensure that you understand and know road traffic signs, that you understand the rules of the road and the various signals that a vehicle driver is required to give when driving on a public road, and that you are generally capable of driving the type of vehicle specified on the application.

If you pass the drivers license test, you will be given a temporary license while your credit-card-format drivers license is being created. When your license is available for collection, the drivers license testing center will contact you via mail. When you go to get your license card, you must show your ID. Licenses that have not been collected within 120 days are destroyed.

In order to use the NaTIS website and services, you need to complete a registration process to obtain your own unique login details

To do so, you’ll have to open your browser and go to https://online.natis.gov.za to access the home page.

Once you are on the page, look for the “REGISTER” menu. and click on it.

Now, select your identity and click on the “Next” button to proceed.

Fill in all the required details and when finished, click on “Register”.

Your entered data will be sent to the Road Traffic Information System for verification.

Now, you’ll receive the activation message containing a link via the contact provided during the registration,

Click on the link provided to activate your account.

Use the username and temporary password provided in the email or SMS to log in to your new NaTIS account.

After your first login, the system will prompt you to change your password. Do so to keep your account more secured and only accessible by you.

How to Login as an Existing User

If you’ve already registered on the NaTIS portal, then there is no need to registered for an account again. All you need is to login. Follow the below steps to Login as n existing user to the Natis Portal.

Open your internet browser and go to the portal through this Link
Now click on the Login button and then enter your Login details for Login to the portal.

How to Recover Forgotten your Password?

To reset your password, fill in your registered email address and reset your password

by clicking forgot password on the login page.

How to Book an appointment on Natis Portal -NaTIS Booking Portal

First Visit the NaTIS Login Portal: https://online.natis.gov.za/

Now Login using your Login Details.

Look for the empty dates for appointments and then book your preferred date and time.
